How to use the sauna properly Sauna ABC

Take enough time

so that you can relax in peace. Plan at least two hours for a full sauna bath and do not start the sauna sessions hungry or with a full stomach.

Info for smokers

Please do not smoke immediately before visiting the sauna so as not to disturb other visitors.

Before every sauna session

you should shower thoroughly to cleanse your skin completely. Dry yourself thoroughly afterwards, as dry skin sweats more quickly. A comfortably warm foot bath before the sauna also promotes sweating.

During the sauna session

you shouldn't look at the clock, but simply listen to how your body feels to find the right length for your sauna session. Whether you're sitting or lying down, the main thing is that you feel comfortable. Towards the end, you should definitely sit up to get your circulation used to the upright position again.

After the sauna

if possible, go out into the fresh air and walk slowly up and down. Cool down your body temperature with the Kneipp hose or under the jet shower and then use the refreshing plunge pool.

The number of sauna sessions

as well as the length of the sauna session depends on your personal well-being. More important than the number of sauna sessions is the regularity of sauna use in order to maintain the health-promoting effect.

After your last sauna session

you should drink as much as possible to compensate for the loss of fluids. Refresh yourself between sessions at our sauna bar or stop by our Andalusian restaurant.
